Fasano
History
Situated in the center of an ideal triangle with the cities of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto at the top, about 50 km away from Fasano, the city marks the border between Salento and the Bari area. Its territory includes various hamlets, extending for 15 km on the Adriatic Sea coast The toponym “Fasano” probably comes from “faso”, the ancient name of a large and white wild pigeon (represented on the civic coat of arms) which was drinking at the so-called “fogge”, that is, an open swamp or well where the courses of water from the hills. Above these forms today is the Park of Remembrance. It has about 40 thousand inhabitants and is located at 111 meters above sea level. and about 7 km from the well-known seaside resorts of Savelletri and Torre Canne.

Fasano is a city not to be missed. The main attraction of the zoosafari offers ideal fun for both adults and children.
